Lead Power Platform Developer

Work Schedule:
On-site (Hybrid): Office days required Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely Monday and Friday.
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Power Platform Developer to transform raw data into valuable insights by developing dashboards, applications, and reports. The role involves providing design and solution consulting in Analytics and setting standards for the team. You will be responsible for both functional and technical aspects of business intelligence (BI) solutions, ensuring efficient BI data management and guiding application development decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and improve critical BI solutions using Microsoft Power Platform.
- Provide design and solution consulting in analytics and business applications.
- Offer expertise in data management, warehousing, and business intelligence both functionally and technically.
- Standardize BI processes and operations, such as deployments, to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Mentor team developers and establish best practices for Power Platform development.
- Deliver solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, and other Power Platform tools.
- Engage in continuous process improvement to enhance customer experience.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, developers, and project teams, ensuring smooth collaboration.
- Analyze data requirements and system architecture to design, optimize, and validate database designs that meet reporting needs.
- Monitor system performance, reliability, and recovery for data warehouse environments.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a STEM field preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience in BI development required.
- Proven experience in Power Platform development.
- Experience writing complex DAX queries and functions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, and related Power Platform tools.
- Strong background in data modeling, SQL, and BI development.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of addressing both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to manage data dependencies and requirements.
- Experience working with confidential data.
- Knowledge of health, safety, quality, and environmental management systems (preferred but not required).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Azure Data Fundamentals certification.
- Azure Enterprise Data Analyst or Power BI Analyst certification.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Performance Expectations:
- Ensure high-quality BI solutions with clear documentation and standards.
- Mentor and guide team members to ensure adherence to best practices in BI development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to the Senior Manager of Business Intelligence.
